The Headset Adapter (US NATO) allows Micro System headsets to connect to the intercom systems installed in helicopters.
The adapter converts the modern multi-pole connector used on Micro System headsets to fit a standard US NATO jack plug socket.
The adapter also includes electronics which provide the correct levels to the intercom system; this makes the adapter plug-and-play compatible with all modern helicopter intercom systems.
The adapter is designed to be immune to electromagnetic interference and to prevent radio frequency (RF) feedback, which are often associated with external connections to Airband radio equipment.
